Sept. 21, 2023- The OB Historical Society Presents:The “Piers of O.B.”  At the foot of Niagara Ave. on TOP OF THE O.B. PIER. Come hear the history of the O.B. Pier along with ideas, options, and discussions of the future pier at this OUTDOOR PROGRAM. Special guests include Ralph Teyssier, Matthew Martinez, and Eric DuVal.

Thursday, May 16, 2019 7 PM, The Ocean Beach Historical Society Presented a Retrospective: 25 Years of Photos & OB Exposed! by Kathy Blavatt at Water’s Edge Faith Community, 1984 Sunset Cliffs Blvd., O.B.

Kathy Blavatt’s April 9, 2019 — History Ocean Beach Woman’s Club and OB Women program, along with the Hat Contest photo of Mae Clark in the Ocean Beach Where Land and Water Meets” book inspired the OBWC to bring back the Annual May Hat Contest which the had at Cultures on Newport Ave. Three hat awards were given out. Kathy won for “Most Nostalgic.” Her tall hat was covered with live flowers from her garden.
