KATHY BLAVATT grew up in Point Loma (Sunset Cliffs). She runs her business and writes books from her Studio/Home in Ocean Beach. Her work includes art, photography, graphics/illustration, computer media, teaching and writing. Kathy’s fine art and digital art have been exhibited locally and across the country.  Her photos and art can be seen at Newbreak Coffee Co. in Ocean Beach. Kathy has written seven books, articles and poetry for publications and blogs. Kathy is the Creative Director for the board of the Ocean Beach Historical Society.

KW KB ArtKathy taught at St. Madelaine Sophie’s Center for developmental disabled adults for five years. She had receive international recognition for 22 years of work teaching art/digital art to savant artists, Mark Rimland (father Dr. Rimland founded the Autism Research Institute) and Kristina Woodruff, who had appeared on television including several international shows/documentaries.

Kathy created graphics and illustrations for two agencies she owned, and for many businesses , SD School District, SDSU, publications, and non-profits.
RAY BLAVATT has been an animator and cartoonist since 1990. His work includes work education animation for Learning Upgrade and CLB a German scientific magazine . His cartoons were featured in the Espresso Diaries and other publications. Ray does animation, video, website, cartooning and graphics for a variety of clients. Ray is on the board of the Ocean Beach Historical Society and the Congress of History San Diego & Imperial Counties— https://congressofhistory.wordpress.com
Both Ray and Kathy were demonstration artists for Wacom and other tech companies at major shows/expos, such as: Mac World, SIGGraph, Seybold, Photoshop World and others. They both worked for the San Diego Unified School District creating illustrations and graphics .
